Elderly Independent Living Support Service

Moschato
From 15/01/2024 to 15/01/2025
The Elderly Independent Living Support Service is a social tele-care service that aims to support independent living at home, people at risk due to age, health problems or social isolation. This service offers personalized attention that can improve safety conditions, reduce the feeling of loneliness in everyday life, strengthen independence and detect and prevent dangerous situations. This service operates through a specialized team consisting of social workers, psychologists, and other necessary personnel who promptly respond to the needs and wishes of the elderly. These trained staff members have direct access to individual files and human resources, such as psychologists, to ensure the seamless operation of the 24-hour Telephone Support service. The system also integrates smart solutions to remotely notify either the elderly person's family or relevant state agencies in case of emergencies, triggered by a button activated by the owner. Beneficiaries of the service are citizens with instability and/or mobility problems, and sufferers of chronic diseases. This service thus helps to strengthen the sense of security of vulnerable social groups (mainly people of the 3rd Age) but also deals with the emergencies of these groups.
