The municipality of Svrljig is on September 21, 2021. within the European Week of Local Democracy with citizens held a cleaning action in the village of Drajinac. Participants were educated about recycling, how waste is separated, what can be recycled and how the consequences of environmental degradation can be reduced. The action was attended by 16 volunteers, members of the association "Eco Future" and the Association of Youth in the Village. The action was supported by the municipality of Svrljig, the Center for Tourism, Culture and Sports and JKSP Svrljig.
About 350 kg of plastic waste and about 200 kg of glass waste were collected at the action, which will not end up in a new landfill, but will be recycled.
