Sustainable Energy Days: encouraging the public to get more actively involved in contribution to local democracy

In June-July in 9 Armenian communities such as Vanadzor, Abovyan, Artik, Spitak, Gavar, Martuni, Ijevan, Masis, Tashir were held EU Sustainable Energy Days. More than 30 events were held during EU Sustainable Energy Days in different Communitites of Armenia. The Energy days were aimed at strengthening local democracy, informing the public about their rights. More than 1400 residents of a number of Armenian communities, including children, youth and representatives of local self-government bodies, took part in a variety of interesting and useful events under the EU Sustainable Energy Week 2019. Bike ridings, thematic exhibitions, conferences, panel discussions, seminars, concerts, festivals, drawing and painting contests, entertaining thematic quests, quizzes, informational hours, workshops, presentations, seminars, talks and thematic classes in youth camps and schools, open lessons for children, flash mobs, performances were held-Energy Days become a famous celebrations in Armenian communities. In total, 30 different activities/events were conducted in the framework EU Sustainable Energy Days. Energy Days were very usefull to raise the awareness of citizens and encourage them to get more actively involved in contributing to local democracy and sustainable development.
