Le maire de Yunusemre a rencontré des élèves d’établissements d’enseignement secondaire et a répondu à leurs questions.
De jeunes membres de l’Association contre l’addiction ont donné un concert dont les chansons avaient pour thème la démocratie. La Direction de l’éducation nationale de la province de Manisa (service R&D) a installé un stand « Album de la démocratie du 15 juillet ». L’établissement d’enseignement secondaire de Ça?atay Uluçay a monté une exposition sur le thème « Démocratie et journée d’union nationale ». Par ailleurs, une table ronde s’est tenue sur le sujet « Participation, consultation et engagement des citoyens : pour une démocratie locale dynamique ».
Mayor of Yunusemre, who met with high school students within the framework of European Union Local Democracy Week programs answered their questions. "We need to make sure that the idealistic, patriotic young people are raised within our society" he said.
Within the context of European Union Local Democracy Week programs, the first event was held with the contributions and in partnership with Yunusemre Municipality, Manisa Celal Bayar University (MCBÜ), Provincial Directorate of National Education and Association for Combating Addiction. On the first day of the two-day activities, Young members of the Association for Combating Addiction performed a song concert consisting of Democracy themed Songs. Manisa Provincial Directorate of National Education- R & D Unit set a " July 15th Democracy Album Stand" and a `Democracy and National Union Day` themed exhibition was displayed by Ça?atay Uluçay Secondary School at the event venue.
In addition, a panel has been organized on the subject of “Citizen participation, consultation and commitment: for a thriving local democracy” at Dr. Ümit Do?ay Arinc Cultural Center. Yunusemre Deputy Mayor Idris Av?ar, Provincial Director of National Education Necmettin Okumu?, MCBÜ Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences Public Administration Department of Political Science and Social Sciences Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rasim AKPINAR joined the discussions as lecturers.
