Chesterfield Borough Council

« Chesterfield Borough Council » takes part in the European Local Democracy Week - a paneuropean event coordinated by the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe - as « Partner city »

In Chesterfield, every year our Democratic and Scrutiny Team engage with as many local primary and secondary schools as possible. We encourage discussions on local, national and international issues and introduce all ages to democracy by running mock ballots, holding debates, having tours of council buildings and arranging question time-style panels, all with the support of our local councillors.
