AEGEAN AND MARMARA ENVIRONMENTAL MUNICIPALITIES WORKING MEETING ON RENEWABLE ENERGY AND CLIMATE CHANGE

Mustafa ALTINTAS, the Mayor of Ahmetbey, the Environmental Engineer, Gonca GÜNBATAR and the City Council Member Ahmet Demir AKDEN?Z attended the meeting held in Istanbul by the Union of Aegean and Marmara Environmental Municipalities, of which Ahmetbey Municipality is a member. Various presentations were made by academics and local administrators on the use of renewable energy sources and the negative effects of the climate crisis in terms of environmental, economic and health. During the two-day meetings, Ahmetbey Municipality organized a painting exhibition to raise awareness about the climate crisis and the importance of local democracy.
