The COVID-19 pandemic, which caused serious health problems in 2020-2021, continued to threaten citizens with the OMICRON variant in the first months of 2022.
During the epidemic, Ahmetbey Municipality organized solidarity campaigns to facilitate access to basic foodstuffs, medical masks, disinfectants and cleaning products, especially for poor citizens, disabled individuals and Romany families. In 2022, Ahmetbey Municipality delivered thousands of food parcels and tens of thousands of masks to citizens free of charge.
