CLIMATE AMBASSADORS OF AHMETBEY MUNICIPALITY ATTENDED THE MEETING OF SISTER CITIES IN BULGARIA

High school students appointed by Ahmetbey Municipality as climate ambassadors made a presentation on “Climate Ambassadors for a green future” in the sister city of Stambolovo.
Mayor of Ahmetbey, climate ambassadors, teachers, Republic of Türkiye Ministry of National Education Lüleburgaz Director of National Education, and Republic of Türkiye Lüleburgaz District Governor from Türkiye attended the meeting. Mayor of Stambolovo in Bulgaria, the chairman of the council, members of the council and municipal officials hosted the meeting.
At the meeting, issues such as developing new projects between sister cities to combat the climate crisis and the continuation of social-cultural cooperation were discussed. A presentation was made by climate ambassadors on adverse natural events and disasters in Türkiye due to the climate crisis.
Paintings on “climate change and water conservation” made by students from Ahmetbey were also opened to the visit of children and youth in the foyer area of Stambolovo Municipality.
