The Mayor of Çigli, Utku Gümrükçü, who was selected as the Turkish Ambassador to the European Climate Pact by the European Commission, and the Bear Sailing Sailing Team started the journey of “We are sailing for the future” with the aim of minimum Carbon Footprint.
The "We are sailing for the future" team, which set out from Hopa to draw attention to climate change, together with the European Climate Pact Turkey Ambassador Utku Gümrükçü, used the pine seeds and cones they brought from Artvin during the Marmaris stage of the journey to reforest the burned forest areas in Marmaris. Marmaris Mayor Mehmet handed it to Oktay.
