Izmir Metropolitan Municipality and KEÇI Culture, Ecology, Environment and Communication Association organized a Water Workshop with the theme "Before the Well Drys" in Çigli after Seferihisar, Selçuk, Foça and Ödemis in order to protect natural water areas and biodiversity. Academicians, expert personnel of local administrations, non-governmental organizations and representatives of associations attended the meeting held in Çigli Municipality Assembly Hall. Izmir Agricultural Development Center Agricultural Engineer Berk Ünal, IZSU Çigli Treatment Plant Environmental Engineer Sermin Gür, Environmental Engineer Helil Unal Kunay from Izmir Branch of the Chamber of Environmental Engineers and Baha Okar from the Goat Culture, Ecology, Environment and Communication Association took part in the discussion. The drought and water pollution in the region and the sustainability of biodiversity in the region were discussed.
