“FROM HOMES TO THE UNIVERSE” ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS PROJECT

Deha: Vegetable Waste Oil Company, 3. WH International: Textile Company, 4. TAP: Waste Battery Association • Volunteer Women. Purpose of the Project: • Creating environmental awareness through trainings to be given to women in the university. • Through the aims of the “Zero Waste” policy, participants will have information about sorting waste and recycling. • More effective and efficient use of energy resources such as water, electricity and natural gas will be ensured. • Waste will be managed with an integrated approach by targeting the Zero Waste principle. • With the project, it is aimed to increase public awareness about the environment. • The role of women and especially mothers, who form the basis of society, is very important in order to maximize environmental awareness and transform it into a social behavior. One of the elements aimed in this project is to reveal the importance and mission of women once again. How to project works: • Firstly, volunteer teammates will be determined. • The trainers of Medipol University will give trainings. • In order to promote and increase the interests to the project, volunteers will start to organize field works in Beykoz general. In this study, they will visit schools, course centres, sport clubs, associations etc. and they will explain the scope and main cores of the project.
