LDA Edremit_International Meeting with partners and Statute Advisory Session

LDA Edremit Statute was discussed and shaped with the contribution of Turkish and international partners. Before the Signature Ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding which represent the starting point of the establishment of the first LDA in Turkey, Edremit Municipality with the participation of ALDA Secretary General, Vice President and Coordinator for Mediterranean Area organised an advisory meeting in presence in order to define and shape the LDA Edremit Statute. During the advisory meeting, held both in Turkish and English language, local CSOs representatives, ALDA governing board, Director of Human Resources of Edremit Municipalities and Citizens Councils members, Mayor of Ahmetbey Municipality, representative of Lujne Municipality and Bodva Municipality discussed together the priority areas of LDA Edremit. Environment, climate change and resilient urban cities and communities was recognised unanimously as the most important field of activity of LDA Edremit becoming a fundamental part of the Statute. Together with that topic, women empowerment, Children rights, disabled citizens rights, youth entrepreneurship, international dialogue and partnership was added to the priority areas of the Statute.
