Opština Blace

« Opština Blace » takes part in the European Local Democracy Week - a paneuropean event coordinated by the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe - as « Partner city »

The area of ??Blace is a smaller municipality of Kopaonik (306 km²), in which there are 40 settlements. It is located in the Toplica valley, on the eastern slopes of Kopaonik and the southwestern slopes of Jastrebac, covering the northwestern part of the Toplica basin, which is connected to the Rasina valley by the Jankova gorge, ie the Kruševac basin. According to the results of the 2011 census, there are 11,686 inhabitants on the territory of the municipality of Blace, of which 5,261 live in Blace itself, and 6,607 in the surrounding villages. Compared to the 2002 census, there were 2,073 fewer inhabitants, and compared to 1991, the population decreased by 3,463.
