« Municipality of Kavadarci » takes part in the European Local Democracy Week - a paneuropean event coordinated by the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe - as « Partner city »
Kavadarci municipality is located in the southern part of North Macedonia and belongs to the middle Povardarie region, penetrating the Tikvesh valley. It’s located in the southern part of the Republic.It encompasses 1,132km2 with 55 settlements. By last census of 2002 the population is 37,189, which is 1.84% of the total population in the country.According to the archeological sites discovered so far, Kavadarci has been inhabited since the Neolithic period. Traces of settlements in the ancient period and the Middle Ages have also been discovered here. Today Kavadarci offers visitors an unusual and rich experience. The heritage of the medieval period presented through the beautiful churches, the Mark's tower, the cave beauties that are worth climbing. Experience Tikvesh and travel through antiquity, through time, tradition, through the center of the Republic of Northern Macedonia.
