The city of Amadora is one of the 18 municipalities of the Lisbon Metropolitan Area, bordering Lisbon, Odivelas, Sintra and Oeiras. Made up of six parishes (Águas Livres, Alfragide, Encosta do Sol, Falagueira-Venda Nova, Mina de Água and Venteira), 171,719 inhabitants live in the Municipality of Amadora, in an area of around 24Km2 (2021 Census).
