Concert d’ouverture de la SEDL par le groupe Tatavla Keyfi

Le groupe Tatavla Keyfi est connu pour son répertoire de chansons rebétiko, une forme de musique populaire grecque originaire du Pirée qui a fusionné avec la musique traditionnelle turque. Pour cette raison, le rebétiko est un patrimoine culturel important de traditions communes aux deux cultures et il offre une occasion agréable de se divertir ensemble, au-delà des différences culturelles et des barrières linguistiques.
Le concert a été précédé d’un message vidéo de la Présidente du Congrès des pouvoirs locaux et régionaux, Gudrun Mosler Törnström. Dans leurs discours, l’adjoint au maire de Lesbos, Taksiarhis Veros, et l’adjointe au maire de La Canée, Eleftheria Alifieraki, ont souligné la réalité et l’importance de l’amitié entre la Turquie et la Grèce.
The opening concert organized by the Edremit Municipality for the European Local Democracy Week was performed by the music group "Tatavla Keyfi", which is famous for its repertoire of “Rebetiko”songs, a genre of Greek music born in Piraeus harbour which merged with Turkish traditional music from Istanbul and Izmir around the 19th and 20th centuries. For this reason “Rembetiko” songs represent a significant cultural heritage of shared traditions between two cultures and it represents a pleasant occasion of communal entertainment beyond cultural differences and language barriers.
The concert has been preceded by the video message of Ms. Gudrun Mosler Törnström, President of the Congress of the European Local and Regional Authorities, which was screened with Turkish subtitles. Furthermore Deputy Mayor of Lesvos Mr.Taksiarhis Veros and Deputy Mayor of Chania Ms.Eleftheria Alifieraki both underlined the meaning and importance of the Turkish-Greek friendshipin their speeches. Deputy Mayor of Chania, Ms. Alifieraki also reminded that the City of Chania celebrates the ELDW since2011.
